A quick tongue lashing round the sides, then a big huge loving lick on the top, back to the sides again to ensure that there aint no dribbles spoiling the clothes, back to the top and finish off by snapping the bottom of the cone off and making a mini ice cream by scooping the remainder out of the bigger cone

i usually start licking from the bottom of the ice cream and work up...and then when the ice cream is gone from the top, i bite the bottom of the cone and suck it out...

If it's melting down the sides then I take care of that first. Then I go around the edges towards the center.
