It's down to personal taste really! i usually go for seated as, being so short it's hard to see when everyone is standing, but at least with standing you can move about a bit and find yourself a good spot!

But i'm sure whatever you choose it will be a good night!

Standing, 100%. Brixton Academy is THE best major music venue in London.

Definitely standing. Push your way to the front if you can. It's the only place to be at the Academy. Don't worry if you're short (like me), it's just makes it easier to get through when people have their arms in the air. Great venue. Love it. And miss it, now living in New Zealand. :-(
