What should you wash jewlery in?

I'm talking about the cheap $7 at Claire's jewelry. Homemade solutions would help a lot!

Just put a little dish soap in a bowl of water and let them soak in there. Rinse them and dry them with a towel.

soap! If it is a lotion soap it really makes jewelry shine. I don't know why but soap in public restrooms usually work well too?!?!?! :)
