Could you recommend any books that would help me increase my knowledge or other prepping advice so I can be well prepared if I ever get the chance to study law. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You MUST take the law school entry exam to get into any law school. It is best to take a course/class for the exam, get two or three self-test exam booklets with sample exams. The exam is critical, and your score will determine what law schools will accept you, and scholarship/loan eligibility. Other prep advice for law school - learn to speed read, you will have to read hundreds of cases in three years of law school, with maximum retention of facts. You must have a 4-year degree to get into a law school, so take as many law-related courses you can for your undergrad degree. Be prepared for a lot of hard work, it's at least twice the work of most other master degree programs! Start reading - law review articles, legal periodicals, law cases - get in the legal frame of mind. Good luck!

Take an LSAT prep course. There are several places that give them. You will need a good LSAT score (not to mention good grades) to get into law school.

There are some LSAT study guides that may help you. Good luck!

There is not particularly course of study required to prepare for law school, although political science and philosophy are very popular majors for people entering law school.
