Some people say tht PMS is psychological - but the reason that we get into that aweful irritable mood is because of hormones.
PMS for many women is cramps, discomfort, nausea, bad moods, swollen belly etc.
SOmetimes the discomfort etc. causes the bad mood, but for many, its the hormones causing tha bad moods... which sometimes makes them too wonder whether its all in the mind.
These symptoms may not be present in all women and some (the lucky ones) don't get PMS at all.....but those who have to live with it don't enjoy it.
So don't suspect every woman of faking PMS as even if she's not in discomfort, her hormones make her behave the way she does and people including her may feel then that its in the mind.
We don't enjoy getting annoyed and annoying others around us.

I don't think the men even tried to read your question. I think a man married to a wife who has severe PMS that has been documented by a physician could offer that evidence to counter her testimony than he abused her. If you think you need a Violence Against PMS Women Act, wait until MENOPAUSE. It's like PMS with a shot of testosterone. It's karma come to kick your ***. PMS is actually a serious disorder. A woman afflicted with it can get significant relief by getting enough sleep and eating a healthy diet. Spicy food, salt, too much caffeine, tobacco, all make it worse. Regular sex (once a week minimum) is helpful. If you really do live with a woman who suffers bad mood swings during the premenstruum, encourage her to see a good doctor or nurse practitioner. It is totally unnecessary for a woman and her family to suffer because PMS is not a natural female deficiency. It can be prevented.

What PMS does to you is real but focussing on it can definatly make it worse. Your mind is a powerful tool and it can both make things feel worse than they need to or better. That is the situation with most things that go on in the body. The best thing to do is try to ignore what it does to you .....focus on something else and see if there is an improvement.
Try to stay as relaxed as you can...if you stress about it that can increase your symptoms.
I want to be clear that PMS can cause real symptoms...and how bad they are for you may not be something you can fully control on your own no matter how well your able to ignore it or use milnd control on your symptoms. Regardless it is worth it to try an find out.

Its not in your head. PMS symptoms are very real and now there are medical studies that support that fact. Now some things we do and eat effect the degree of discomfort one has. Its amazing how hormones affect your bodies. Don't use PMS as an excuse but also don't be so hard on yourself.

If your using it as an excuse than that is a behaviour problem.
But the hormone fluctuations with menstrual cycle changes DO affect your drive, your emotions and your cravings. There is a pms tracker site that you can use and give great advice on coping.
Basically drink plenty of water, moderate your cravings by setting a particular amount as acceptable, and get daily exercise, certain supplements can moderate symptoms such as calcium and evening primose oil, but consultant a specialist.

I have bad cycles. I get bi*chy and eat alot, I have headaches, tender breasts, my face breaks out. The thing I think that causes it is the hormones, that's all that I can come up with. It's different in every woman but you can't deny that during that time of the month, our hormones are different.

yes women do this all the time. because we are told that we have these symptoms we believe that we do.
don't get me wrong sometimes we really really do, but alot of it is all in the head
