to see what types of ways people do this
and how its the best way to not get caught
and also what is the easiest way for someone to notice your shoplifting
and what are the laws on it in the state of illinois

Not worth having the store prosecute you, handcuff you, have your parents pay a lot of money once they go to court. There are people hired in the store to watch for shoplifters, plus added cameras in places you wouldn't think. of...
Neighbors daughter did this a few years ago and it cost them near $2,000., plus child could not shop in store anymore, plus child did community service and had to write a paper on shoplifting....Not worth it!

Any information you give this person as how to do it successfully, they have already made up their minds on their intent, nothing said here will change that.

Believe it or not, unless you are threatening someone's life or blackmailing, it is not such an easy thing to influence them against their morals.

Research paper or not, I wouldn't want to make any suggestions liable to make it easier for anyone to shoplift. Shoplifting is theft and it costs the rest of us in higher prices.

Go to a store with lots of cameras, wearing tight clothes, and walk past the cashier with your clothes full of bulky items... you gatta be kidding about a question like this.

All I can say is an assignment of this type, assuming it is a real assignment and not your way of getting good tips, is rather irresponsible of a teacher......
