Your question is impossible to answer without more information. Contractors will often submit bid proposals that do not necessarily have all the necessary terms and conditions to make a contract. On the other hand, this particularly proposal MIGHT contained the necessary elements. Each proposal is different and laws vary by state.

You also did not specify who signed the proposal. Did this person have authority to act on behalf of the condominium association?

When all else fails, consult a local attorney.

i've got been training regulation for the reason that 1993. the three undemanding factors of any contract are: (a million) furnish; (2) acceptance of the furnish; and (3) attention, in specific circumstances observed as an replace of fee. you could no longer say that attention is extra important than the different 2 factors. while you're lacking even between the climate, there is not any longer contract.

I am no lawyer. But normally when a proposal is presented, signing it is stating that you agree to the proposal and the work can begin at the proposed price. Typically, one does not sign simply to acknowledge receipt of the proposal unless it is stated that way.

It depends on if the contractor will face real losses as a result of YOUR bad faith.

It also depends on the exchange of money, if any was made or not.

It also depends on the contracting laws of your state.

If you accepted the ring...then yes. If you break off the engagement...you have to give back the ring b/c it was given to you on the intent that you would marry him.
