The expression "to blossom" would be the closest reference. To become all who you were meant to be, to be open, experiencing, feeling, being aware. To be folded then would mean to be closed, in the darkness, remote and essentially but not literally dead.

To find out what he meant you would have to ask him. Non of
us has any insight into his Psyche.

the important thing is what did you get from it. What do you
believe it means.

Because the truism is:

I know you think you understood what you thought is said.
But do you realize that what you thought you heard wasn't
what I meant at all?

MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a nice day.

Thank you very much, while you're up!!
