obviously you abused the privilege of text messaging, I don't think that you need to try to convince him why you need it. You need to convince him how responsible you will be if he allows you to get it back. Like putting your self on a limit , or not using it unless it is an emergency.

1. There is an emergency and you can answer you phone cause it might distrup class, so instead you read the message quatly and respond back , and its between u and the phone and no one will know ur business.
2. You wont waste the minutes if you just have to say a couple of lines

3. You can tell someone in front of you something you dont want others to hear my text messaging..

4. u can communicate long distance with a text without the long distance charges.

5. u can text a picture or somnething interesting to some one

6. almost evryone has it

7. U can cheat on a test.. or just ask for a hint

8. you can talk with your girlfriend(say parent) in class without missing what the teacher is saying

9. Its discrete

10. you can text many people at the same time like if you want to say Merry Xmas, you sned the text to all ur contacts instead of calling them one by one and spending ur minutes and joining in boring converastion that turns to silent moment

11. u say what u need to say without adding extar things...

12 its romantic

13 its a fashion trend
