The pole i just installed in my bedroom to my mother in law who is ultra conservitive and uptight!She walked in to my room uninvited to my bed room because when ever she comes over she gives herself a tour of our home to make sure its clean enough for her!She already hates me and i dont want her to humiliate me again like she did about the swing we used to have!Ho can i prevent this or get her to shut up!

I dont want my christmas ruined over this because she has a habit of just blurting my husbands and mine personal life in front of family members.This provokes fights between us and a negative vibe overall.

Shoot hang mirrors on the ceiling and the next time she is over tell her to take off her shoes before she lies on the bed to check out the mirrors....then tell her to imagine what goes on behind closed doors!
Bet that will embarrass her enough she quits snooping.

Have you tried to have this talk with your spouse? Have you tried talking to your mother in law? If I were in your shoes, then I would explain to her how I do not appreciate her walking through my home. I would tell her that she is a guest and that guests usually don't do that. I would tell her that I want to enjoy Christmas and not ruin it for everyone else. Start talking about things that she likes or maybe complimenting her on the way she looks. If she says that something is out of place then ask her of a better way to fix or clean it. Good Luck

well...if you want a pole, a swing or mirrors on the 4 walls and ceiling that's your business not your mother in laws. I suggest you get a lock on your room and make it clear to her that its not her home! and If she brings up the pole at dinner to your family...smile and ask if anyone want to have fun swinging on it like your mother in law did before they all got there!

Tell her the pole is for the new work out craze.. Or that you use it for practice for when you start your new stripper job next month..LMAO..

You just have to deal with her. Take her out to coffee and talk anout it. Tell her that your personal life with your husband is not her business and you would appreciate it if she would stay out of your bedroom.
I have a pole in my bedroom too, but its only to practice on. Im an exotic dancer.

How about installing a lock on the bed room door and not letting her in there. It is none of her business what goes on in YOUR bedroom.

Ahhh...the dreaded mother-in-law. Have to treat her like a kid and make it clear which rooms are off limits. Also, have your hubby have a talk with her and let her know both of you are in this together.

It's your home , tell her she cannot go into your bedroom and mean it. You and or your husbandd must talk to her tell her you don't like what she does and what you and your husban do and how you keep your home is none of her business and you have to mean it. it sounds like to me that you are intimidated by her and she know ws this, thats why she can do what she does.
