That's part of teaching, she still likes them. Being mad is natural...

A teacher's day can be so frantic that the issue with a particular student is a drop in the bucket.
But of course if a student has stolen something from the teacher?? If a student has been deliberately, repeatedly, insubordinate or disruptive??There are those few students every year that are very difficult to like.
However, I think that I speak for all teachers when I say that The job is too demanding, the students are too needy, and life is too short for teachers to waste time on maintaining a bad attitude. We all try to be positive, optimistic, and enjoy life and work as much as anyone else.

There are very, very few students that I have actually hated in my 28 year career as a high school teacher. There have been many, many with whom I have been angry. I have been angry with some students many times; but I didn't hate them. I have only hated those few who have done something to me personally which I could not forgive easily. Those particular students I did not allow back into my classroom.
If you have simply misbehaved in class, even several times, and you honestly believe a teacher is treating you differently than other students because of that, then you need to speak to your parents and/or some other adult at your school who might be able to help your situation.

No, most teachers are more mature than that. I have gotten mad at a few students for various reasons (i.e. cheating, lying etc.) but I still like them as a person...sometimes I even feel sorry for the situation they have put themselves in. Then when the incident is over, I let it go and move on and hopefully the student does also.

Hate is a strong word. Depending on the reason a teacher might get mad at a student, she may not like the student anymore, but if it's a minor problem that they get mad at, they usually forgive.

Teachers are people too do you hate every person you get mad at? I doubt it. Once the teacher and the student settles their differences every thing would be forgiven and forgotten. I used to be very bad in grammar school and the my teachers did not like that, but they did not hate me because of it. They still wanted to see me do well because they knew I was a bright student who just had behavioral problems.

Teachers get mad for a reason, you know? They chastise students for misconduct just so they can help them fix that problem. I have no idea why a teacher would get mad at a student just because she hated them. There has to be a reason, hasn't there?

No! I get mad at my students all the time, but as long as they don't come to my house and kill my cat or something like that, I do not hate them.

Hating a student requires too much energy. There are students whose behavior I do not appreciate, or whose attitude is offensive, but I do not hate any of my students. There are also students who make my job more difficult and I do not care for that type of behavior either. But students bring with them so much emotional baggage that hating them does not accomplish anything. It is very counter-productive.

No, she doesn't hate them. She's probably just frustrated with the situation. Students can be self-absorbed and needy. And all of that can take its toll on a teacher.
