How come people don't understand that Political Parties separate people more then race does? Because politicians on YA always seem to be harsh to eachother way more then people of other races are. who agrees?

All I am saying is, before you diss someone for there opinion on a race issue, think about the people in political issues.

you have a point there. it is indeed one point among many. true that political parties --make this differentiation by choice and duty to their constituents. the bottom line is as follows : in the USA there are two main parties -- and the choice is whether you are inclined to go along with the historical record of one party vs. the other one. there are some other democracies where there are more than two parties and the change of governments is more abundant too. i would not go as far as your last statement assertion and claim "race" distinction is involved. we have progressed quite a bit from that stage -- the parties are trying their best -- however last but not least, their success so far "is less than the desired" one. hope it helps.

Political parties do not separate people. The opinion, view and the way a group think is unavoidable, and a political party is a direct representation of that. If anything it brings people with the same views, together to achieve good things for their country.

If this is true, and I only demur because I do not know for sure if it is true, then it would be because the racial problems are so severe that they required immediate and intense attention. The political party question is not so urgent.. People don't do as many nasty things in the name of political party as they do about racial issues.

Maybe it would be nice to soften the political disagreements on YA.

I don't think so, I'm a total Republican and I know alot of Democrats - we may have difference of opinion on issues but that doesn't make us be like that. It does bother me how the media seems very bent towards one side when they really should be non-biased. I think that YA gives people who are a bit psycho about things a place to vent where others won't physically hurt them for saying hateful things.

Politics is about power and profit, not about understanding of races!

Ask the clowns in the White House!!!

without political parties it would be hard to have a diverse government. people would have one boring opinion and people wouldn't be able to fight for what they believe and have their party members help them fight for it. you may not agree with who is in office now, as do a lot of people but you have to accept the fact that it is essential for our government to have separations that keep the people in the government from having one idea or one set party running everything forever

Yeah, politics and organized religion are both very divisive of the human race.

I do, it is sort of sad, but i think that i am even against somethings... it is harder to know someone is of a different partyand make fun of them... i don't bring up things about the opposing party with my friends of the opposite party...i prefer to talk to them about things like clothes, or the cartoons in the newspaper today... Or try to name as many booktitles as we can!! :) Always remeber they are people....and having opposing views is almost as fun!!!
