There's a book set in NYC about a girl in the PR business called "everyone worth knowing". It's written by the girl that wrote Devil Wears Prada.

Um..... Devil wear Prada? Well actaully that's just fashion, and I can't remember if it was in NYC. Hm... I don't really read books like that.
