Any trick that starts with a number and later removes that number doesn't mean a thing.

I actually have a better one. Pick any number, any word, any thing in the universe or withint existence, for that matter, so long as there is a word for it. Count the letters in that word. Count the letters in the number that you got from counting the letters in the word. Now count the letters in the number you got from counting the letters in the word. Keep going, I promise you'll reach 4 no matter what. Sometimes it take a little longer than others, but you'll always get 4. For example:

Sarcasm= 7 letters
Seven= 5 letters
Five= 4 letters
stop there

hypocrite=9 letters
nine= 4 letters
stop there

multiple sclerosis = 17 letters
seventeen = 9 letters
nine = 4 letters
stop there

Anything at all...you will always end up with 4

OK I'll call it x.

If I double it, it's 2x.

Adding 2 I get 2x + 2.

Dividing by 2 I get 1/2(2x + 2) = x + 1.

Subtracting the original number, x, I get x + 1 - x = 1.

So I get 1 everytime, no matter what x is.
