How doas William Shakesperes society and culture differ from todays society and culture.

There are many differences between that culture and our's today (and there are many similarities as well).

Some Differences:
1) Romeo and Juliet were much younger (I think they were 12-14 years old) and thus expected to be much more responsible and mature at such a young age
2) The only ways that they resolve conflict in R+J is by fighting and killing each other.
3) Women were not allowed to be as vocal and independent as they are today
