i have a ten gallon tank which had a baby albino catfish (only about an inch big), a pleco, and an albino rainbow shark (about 3-4 inches). I don't know what happened to my rainbow shark, he has completely disappered. I thought he jumped becasue he jumped onto the filter once before, but I have checked all around the tank and there is nothign and I lifted the big rock and plants but he is nowhere to be found? Any idea what could have happened?

Rainbow sharks are notorious for finding their way out of fish tanks. They can make it out of a hole barely bigger than the fish. Look around, I'm sure you will find him somewhere. If not, I guess you can assume the fish fairy came and took him away.

I'm sorry to say this but it is very very possible that the other fish could have eaten him. Try doing some research about what kind of fish get along! I suggest calling your local pet store. Also, how long ago did the fish dissappear? After a few days if you still can't find it, try sniffing around for maybe a fishy smell. Do you have nay distructive little siblings or older siblings that could be responsible for this? What about your parents/guardians? Do you see any water around the fish tank? If the fish tank is open on top it's possible that i could have jumped out. Good luck! GO FIND NEMO!!

plecos and catfish r friendly so they probably didnt eat him. maybe he got sucked into the filter or jumped into it. or he could be your imaginary pet....

Maybe he died while you were out doing something, so someone took him out so instead of you felling sad, you'll wonder what happened....Maybe, though, it's just my thoughts.

do you have rocks or other hiding places in you aqurium? If so check those those. He maybe hiding there...
