How much does a DVD in its original case weigh?

I need the information to estimate shipping cost and don't have an accurate scale at home. I want to avoid the post office and want to just throw some stamps on.

about 8oz..but make sure you put it in a padded envelope..it always safer to make sure you have more than enough if you don't want them to weigh it for you

The post office has this new thing called 'Media Mail' that is big enough to mail off a dvd in and cost, I think, just 1.40 (one dollar & fourty cents). That would be alot easier and cheaper! :-)
