Ok look. I am a Sony fan and I love the PS2, but I want either a 360 or PS3. I really like the gaming pad for the 360, but Sony has better games for their console, although there are great games for both systems. I have $900 and I only want to buy one of the systems. Which system will have a better future? (And dont talk about the damn Wii..)

The PS3 will most likely have the better future because it's got the most 3rd party support of all the systems. Without 3rd party support, a system cannot do well. Just look at the Gamecube: Whole lot of 1st party support, but no 3rd party support.
Blu-ray is going to separate the PS3 from the 360. New gen, new format. Sony was right when it used CD for the PSX instead of cartridges. Sony was right again with the PS2 when it switched to DVD instead of CD or GD-ROM. And I think Sony was right for choosing Blu-ray over DVD-9.
Do fanboys actually think about what they write before writing things down? "Last, ps3 doesnt look good without a high def tv and xbox looks good without one." Total rubbish. Doesn't make sense at all. If a PS3 game looks good in 1080p, it's going to look good in 480i, just not as good. Resistance looks good in 480i, but it looks better in 1080i. Same thing applies to the 360 games. Gears of War looks good in 480i, but it looks even better in 1080i.
Halo 3: the biggest game of the century. I highly doubt that. Halo 1 isn't even in the top 20 for most games sold. Halo 2 is only #17 on the all-time list. I highly doubt that Halo 3 will sell more than 18 million.

Not looking at other answers here, I am going to tell you something straight up. Never buy a "new" gaming system, they always have bugs and you will find it more irritating than enjoyable. I personally have always liked the PS series, more games. I bought the PS2 when the ps3 came out and I love it, hundreds of games. I would not personally buy the PS3 until at least June or later this coming year, there will be revisions trust me on this. I never understood these people who stood in line the first day they hit the market. Why do you think there are only so many available? Because there will be issues with the gaming system not working right. Bottom line in the future go with the PS3 because it is the only gaming system built to play all 3 gaming system games tooboot. They say patience is bliss for a reason. IMHO hold on to you $$ for now, you will be thankful later.

The future is about the same for both. Sony and MS have been pushing the developer to continue to make games for both systems. If you are a Sony fan then I suggest you go with the PS3. The system seems to be pretty decent from what I can tell. I don't have either. I am going back to PC gaming. Consoles are getting out of hand.

360 is better, it has all-in-one. You can watch movies, hear music, and now with the latest updates, you can download original Xbox games with Microsoft points. You can also buy things like music videos, etc. The market place is like a buy-and-download media shop. The 360 has got the better games that aren't in other console, like Halo 3, mass effect, and before it came out for the PC, Gears of War. If you asked this question to choose which console to buy, the 360 is the most convenient. Apart from it, in the PS3 you cant communicate with other gamers while playing on-line!! The same as the Wii. And ypu know, I dont get up in the morning to start running all around my room playing Wii, my sister has Wii and my cousin broke my sisters nose playing, the wii is dangerous.

xbox 360 has a better future. First, xbox will have halo 3 the biggest game of the century, or at least in 20 years. Second, the xbox will have better games on it than the ps3. Third, blu-ray is good but will you pay $40 for a movie. Fourth, xboxlive is better than the online for ps3. Fifth, xbox already has the better games out right now. Last, ps3 doesnt look good without a high def tv and xbox looks good without one. Xbox is the better choice for you.

Most likely the xbox 360. Sony really screwed up this time. The ps3 isnt that good at all except it has blue ray.

sony looks like it will have a promisin future, with final fantasy XIII, devil may cry 4, mgs 4, and gt 5, but then again 360 looks like it will have a promisin year aswell with halo 3, fable 2, forza 2, gears of war 2 with possible more gears games after, and i would have to say as of now, the 360 has much better games out currently, saints row, gears of war, dead riseing, oblivion( comein to ps3 soon tho)
