Like when your at a Job Barbeque, you avoid anything that is a stereotype to you?

Example would be me avoiding fried chicken or anything chicken, watermelon, catfish ect. ect.

Do you sometimes do this, lol?

Another example would be when your around other races, you start to be quiet and not talk in a normal voice level.

I avoid the "black" jokes. Cause It just inapproriate to say them around other races.

I am also more aware of my environment.

but I'm vegeterian, so I don't eat chicken or cat fish and I hate melons. I prefare citrus fruits.

No, which is a huge relief otherwise I'd be a total chameleon.
Although, sometimes I tend to pick up other people's mannerisms. At the moment, I can't stop doing the Wiggles hand movements lol. It's bad!

Yes and no.

Whenever someone asks me my favorite food, im southern, so its always on the tip of my tongue to say catfish, cheese and grits, collard greens, etc. Instead i find myself saying just, "southern cuisine." lol

The thing is though, I don't do that around non-black people, but black people. I work around alot of "uppity" people, and they frown whenever i use my normal voice (which is loud), and whenever i wear any type of braids (they HATE that). They basically frown on anything stereotypical of black people, and even though they themselves are black, they just don't agree with that type of stuff.

If we are talking about food...I would have to say no...in fact if I am at a buffet and see food that is related to my culture I dive right in...I was raised to be proud of who I am and where I came from..I would even eat with chopstick ...yeah I get stared at but I dont give a fu*k..I am what I am and proud of it...(japanese, hawaiian, white mix)

lol. no. altho i'm not sure i understand ur question.
i'm part japanese, so if i'm at an american buffet, do i avoid the japanese options, i.e. sushi?
i like all foods....
but if ur not talking about food
the funny thing is, i tend to start talking like my friends, so i'll pick up persian accents, mexican accents, etc

not really, i live in a multicultural socity and the only consideration is when i offer food to others, then i need to be sensitive to their religion.for example you don't offer meat to buddist who are practising vegetarians or pork to muslims.
God bless,

No I just act myself, I find that I am more comfortable just being me than to try to be something I can not be.
