And are you that something, or doing something close to it.

Like I wanted to be a doctor or a nurse. Now I'm an administrator for a non-profit org. Not even close.

I wanted to be some kind of healer ... like an ancient shaman. :) I would go to our garden and gather different kinds of leaves and petals, twigs, fruits, etc. and try to formulate something. It always ended up turning out too gross for use but I had some good times mixing all the stuff together, pretending I was the only one who possessed the gift of medicine. I also use to sell waterballoons. haha. I would sell ready-made waterballoons with a friend. I can't believe how many days and how long and patient we were selling those. We didn't even profit a lot. We didn't even profit one dollar! Not even 75 cents. ha

In any case, I'm in college now taking up bus. admin. and biology. I wanted to be a doctor for many, many years and hopefully, that'll happen.

Well I am 14 and don't yet have a job so I will tell you about my dad and his job he wanted.
Well my dad wanted to be a football (australian afl) player and he trained really hard for it all the time but then he got offered a job at National Parts (a car parts seller) (a big company) and he checked it out as that was his second choice and he loved it and got the job. He still got his second choice though but his brother wanted to be a Football player also and he trained a lot too. But he decided not to do it because he couldn't be bothered with all the training so he got a job at a cabinet and door maker company!
they are both far off their first choice.

When I was in Kindergarten we did a project on what we wanted to be when we grew up. (I still have this drawing). Mine was as follows.
A housewife in the early morning.
A vet in the late morning.
A nurse after lunch.
A doctor before supper.
A cowboy after supper.
And finally a horse farmer at night.

I couldn't fit all that in. Now I am a housewife, I help my husband part time with his antique business, and I squeeze in some writing time whenever I can.

I guess I'm still multi tasking!

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist (to study sharks)....I'm now working on becoming a dance teacher.

Funny how life works. Very few people actually use the degrees they earned in college.
