Eric Kirkland will be announcing soon and has an in depth platform of public policy stands on a variety of issues. He's a former Democrat who will be running in the Republican Primaries and shaking things up. Many of his positions offer common sense solutions and he offers a outsiders perspective. He's young, I think he'll be 38 in 2008 so he'll energize the younger crowd as opposed to McCain.
One issue that's exciting about him is his alternate plans for debt and tax elimination. These detailed plans show exactly how to eliminate public debt, at the local, state and federal levels, entirely and then reduce, slowly at first, and then eliminate completely the need for taxation. This occurs while continuing to finance government and pay for government services. It eliminates the need for all forms of taxation including fees including, but not limited to, income, sales, fuel, sin, tariffs, property, drivers license, car tags/plates, and business licenses.
This idea is not a new idea but the application of it sure is. No other potential Presidential candate is even close to Kirkland on this issue.
As a Republican, he also offers solutions towards America's healthcare crisis, tort reform, poverty, labor, consumer, energy and the environment. He can easily attract the conservative base as well as generate broad appeal in and win a general election.

I wish Cheney will run, but I will settle for Guilliani...McCain is okay but explains too much.
