If you love this field of work, certainly there are other possibilites, What was misssing from yur question was the type of harassment. Quid pro quo or Hostile Environment. Many times people who suffer harassment in the workplace are wounded emotionally and need time to heal before moving on. Think about what you did at work and take those skills and mold them into a new venture. Sounds like you have enough experience to be a consultant. By working independently, you lessen daily stressors, have great earning potential and you can continue to do the work you love helping others. Good luck to you. Be still for a moment.

If you love it but not the company, you may want to try working with in home care. It's where you take care of a person who lives at home and needs help and looking after. Generally you work a shift and someone else takes the other shift. It generally last for the life of the patient. Very rewarding, less stressful and a good routine.

Good luck.

Find another company -- but since you enjoy helping people there are several types of areas you could look besides just completely focusing on disabilities, for example the homeless (soup kitchens and homeless shelters), retirement homes (working with the elderly), after school programs for kids (boys and girls club), YWCA or YMCA.
