My Dad is 79 years old. He has everything imaginable. What can I get him for Christmas. He's doesen't have a hobby. He thinks he to old to do anything, or go anywhere. He sits around the house. That about sums him up. Any ideas?

I've got a dad like that, it's rough. This year I made a scrapbook of pictures starting from his wedding to my mom, my birth, family vacations right up to today. It didn't take me too long once I got all the pictures together (got it done last Saturday).

There's always classic TV shows that have recently come out on CD (or a CD player if he doesn't already have one).

You can also give him a gift card to a restaurant for two that he likes to go to (if you don't think he'll find somebody to go with, tell him you want to go with him)

Maybe you could start a hobby for him!! Puzzles, cross words, Ice Fishing (or regular fishing), Golf... you know his limitations better than I do.

Also you can always find an interesting book about historical events that took place while he was younger. He was in his 20's and 30's during the 50's & 60's. There's always intersting stuff about those eras!!

Good luck and I hope these ideas help or at least inspire some of your own ideas!

Happy Holidays!

A bird feeder and a beginners guide to birding. You can also get him a decent pair of binoculars depending on your budget (Nikon-$50). Scrabble is always fun if he has someone to play with.

Maybe spend some time with him. Make him dinner.
New warm slippers, or a new quilt.

Merry Christmas

do you have any pictures of you and him together? perhaps a favorite,, I AM SURE THAT IF YOU GAVE YOUR DAD A PIC OF YOU TWO TOGETHER IN A HOMEMADE FRAME HE WOULD APPRECIATE THAT MORE THAN A STORE BOUGHT ITEM, SOMETHING FROM THE HEART THAT LETS HIM KNOW THAT YOU CARE AND THINK ABOUT HIM,
