Why does anyone need an old movie to know the government is full of crap? Doesn't everyone know this already?

Dude, this movie was made like back in the 30s. It's completely outdated. That's what people back then thought marijuana did to you. Yes, it's extreme and a bit propagandistic, but hey, maybe the particular mix of weed the characters were smoking was laced with something that you don't find as much today - maybe it was laced with a pure form of cocaine or LSD or something.
How can you hold our current government responsible for a film that was made in our grandparent's era??

I haven't seen the movie, but I agree that our govt. is, as you put it, full of crap. However, most govts. are, and as our govt. goes, it isn't too bad. As Churchill once said, "Democracy is the worst type of govt. in the world, except for all the others".
