Believe it or not, humans have been around for thousands and thousands of years. In those thousands of years, they didn't have cell phones. Believe it or not, they actually talked while facing one another...in the same room. I know that this may be hard to fathom, but there are still places on this earth where people still do this.
You CAN live without a cell phone, you may even discover that your friends are people...not just a text number.

People have lived for thousands of years without cell phones - I don't know why all the sudden they are a "necessity"!! I don't have one and I don't care if I never get one. From riding public transit every day and having to endure other people's conversations, it seems that 99.9% of the conversations that take place on cell phones are pointless crap anyway. Doesn't anyone else in the world enjoy peace and quiet any more??

Contact your cell provider now, and let them know! Whoever stole it may be using it to make calls on your account. If you had you phone insured you may be able to get a replacement. With regard to your missing phone numbers, there's not much you can do as they'll be stored on only the phone or SIM. When you get your new phone, see if you can get a data cable with it, so you can back up your phone book to your PC (after I had my phone stolen the first time round, I made sure I copied my phone book at least once a week.)

The alternative is a SIM backup device, which you can pick up quite cheap (at least you can in the UK) which you can use to copy all the numbers off the SIM into its internal memory. You can then leave this in a safe place at home.

*Another* alternative is to use a remote phone backup service which copies your numbers to a server, every time you change or add a number. This costs about $5 a year at a guess, and you have to have a phone that supports remote sync (like one of the newer Nokias or Motorolas)

I recommend being responsible.

Maybe get a job and buy your own phone. Of course, given the likelihood that you are a minor, your parents still have the right to take that phone away as well.

So, in the end, you need to adjust your behavior so your parents feel you are responsible enough and deserving enough to have a cell phone.

i'm tremendously useful it quite is not even criminal... This got here approximately at my intense college (whilst i replaced into in HS--5 years in the past) as quickly as and, nicely, permit's basically say, it in no way got here approximately back whilst this youngster's mom complained. it is so stupid. a useful punishment may be to take the telephone each and each morning for a week and returning it on the tip of the faculty day. the faculty officers are no longer the mother and father and that they ought to have 0 administration over what a infant does throughout after hours. it quite is quite NONE of their company. i might truthfully pass in and raise hell, yet i does not do it in front of your youngster b/c then it style of (a million) makes the faculty officers seem undermined and can have a detrimental result AND (2) ought to enable your infant to sense like all time he does something undesirable, you will basically step in and soak up for him.

Use the Internet, or the phone in your house. Grow up, and stop being a brat. :)

Yes, you can and will live without it. People survived 1000's of years without them and you will, too.
