the USA was founded on Christ and the principles of His teaching. just because schools would rather leave out the faith of our founding fathers, does not mean it is true. our founding fathers believed in Jesus and were not afraid to mention God as the purpose of forming this country. if they lived today they would be disgusted by the way that we have treated their vision of this country here is a great quote from John Adams.
. We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798
The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principals of Christianity… I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God.”
• “[July 4th] ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.”
–John Adams in a letter written to Abigail on the day the Declaration was approved by Congress

there was no mention of god as there is no where in the constitution that would e a proper place to use his name , but, in the declaration of Independence they did use gods name also the bill of rights so how can any one deny the framers of the constitution was not religious , Washington was a mason. he was also Presbyterian, and had prayer before every meeting and before going into battle, what is the great controversy about Any way if some one wants to pray why the hell should it offend anyone there is no insults , profanity, nor any other abuse I can imagine in a prayer,or is it a simple matter of some one wanting to show others how much control they have over some one??such as our great Madeline Hare who with the A.C.L.U. had prayer taken out of school ,afterwards her son became a Christan, it seems so many people have nothing better to do than to screw with some one else and to cause problems, and will die for one minute of fame,or in cases like this I would call it infamy

The framers of the Constitution for the most part were NOT very religious, and many of them were Deists -- people who believe God created the world but essentially has had nothing to do with the world since.
Many of the colonists who first came to the colonies in America were quite religious. But they were not the framers of the Constitution, and also, their experience with religious perspecution heldped form the basis for the belief of many of the founders that the worst thing a Constitution could do would be to support one religion over another.

The framers of the Constitution had mixed feelings on religion. Many were Diests. Most dispised organized religions.
There was an attempt to put God into the Constitution, it didn't muster enough state votes to make the final draft.
The most they did was grant religious freedom.
They also included an article that FORBIDS any religious oath as a requirement to hold Federal office.

Remember their level of education, colonial history, and the ideas of the Enlightenment. Put all those things together and you have the framing of a government that would allow for the freedom of religion.
They certainly founded this nation on the assertion of unalienable rights. Liberty, true liberty, would allow for freedom of religion. The Middle Colonies were especially tolerant of all religions.
The absence of the word God does not imply that there was an absence of God in daily life. For the larger portion of society, their religion was inseparable from daily life. Of course that cannot be said of all.
Thomas Jefferson was a Deist. The chair of the history department at the local university (his knowledged focus is colonial history) stated that Jefferson had cut out all references to God in his Bible. Jefferson felt that the Bible was worthy of study but God apparently was not his "cup of tea."

it is perfect replied contained in the first change. which matches like this, observe the citation marks."Congress shall make no regulation respecting an institution of religion, or prohibiting the free exercising thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the click; or the right of the human beings peaceably to convey mutually, and to petition the authorities for a redress of grievances." Did you spot the area that asserts "or the free exercising thereof"? It skill there will be no longer congressionally mandated faith and that the authorities can no longer preclude free exercising of anyones beliefs. It does no longer supply each person permission to construct some thing everywhere they desire. If it did, why no longer construct a Mosque next to the Washington Monument? First the founders time-honored a union of states. Then they wrote the guidelines to regulate them. of their institution they pronounced their author. they did not aspect out evolution which isn't a faith. maximum of the early settlers were fleeing Europe becuse they needed non secular freedom. no longer freedom from it, yet freedom to belive as they needed. they did not opt for to be compelled to believe yet to believe freely. Evolutionists and Communist have a tendency to be totalitarian and stress human beings to believe a governmentally time-honored faith. it extremely is why all of them packed as a lot as initiate with.

Who said they were? George Washington was a Mason. That isn't Christianity. So were most early Americans. Presbyterianism here was as liberal and wishy washy as it is today. Humanism and Arminianism were/are rampant. The so caled Azusa street revival in California qualifies as an outbreak of a false gospel by biblical doctrine. It took a hundred years for the Catholics to make the crossing. Who are we kidding here? Why not just say America never really wanted to know and would have a major problem giving a biblical account. Hence, no mention. Because there was no real knowledge. It was about greed. And rebellion. To make matters worse, in a manner of speaking, the English acquitted themselves honorably. And those guys were Anglicans!
