Here is a true story from 4 years ago. In So. California, a friend and I were getting onto the freeway by going up a hill and getting on an on ramp. We were starting to merge onto the freeway and a Calif. Highway patrol car cut across four lanes recklessly and flew right in front of us. We had to apply our breaks to avoid hitting him. As soon as we applied our breaks, a car slamed into the rear of our truck. The car that hit us did a hit and run and continued down the freeway. The cop flew across the freeway to see why a car was parked on the shoulder. After he saw that we were hit, we both pulled off the freeway. He acted spastic and quit a bit like Barney Fife said " What the hell happened" we told him that he cut us off and caused an accident. He said yea, yea wow ****. Was the car that hit you red? We said I think so. He continued to swear and act strange. He said should I write this up and make a report? I said no, just leave don't worry about it. What was I going to do? Have him give himself a ticket? highly unlikely. The truck was worth only a few thousand dollars and completely destroyed the back end due to the total negligence of this cop. Not exactly a road rage story but maybe road weirdness.

My wife had gone into a full car park just as a car was about to pull out. She moved into the side and waited. A third car came in behind her and waited as well. The first car backed in such a way the my wife (a feisty lady) had a slight advantage and in she slid. Mission accomplished.

The driver of the third car bounced out of the car and proceeded to offer her his view of her intelligence and a few other things. I was still getting out of the car (had not long had 2 hip operations) and went over to them not sure whether to be amused, bemused or affronted.

I realised he had gone way over the top, his own wife was standing by with a 'now you're for it' look on her face. So with that incredible ability to say just the wrong thing that people suddenly get at these times I said 'You're quite upset'. He confirmed this verbally in his own unique way and suddenly I wanted to laugh (not good) and told him that I could see he was quite angry and that it was bad for him. I explained that I had high blood pressure and I knew about these things. His face began to go very red and I duly pointed this out to him. I asked him if he often got this angry. I listened to his next outburst, nodded and told him that I thought it was best if we went, for his sake.

When we returned an hour or so later all our tyres had been let down. It was my fault . . . . . . but I was quite amused.

I was overtaking on a dual carriage way and a bike sped up behind my, seeming to rev his engine. It looked like he was 5 inches off my back bumper. I pulled over to let him pass and he stuck two fingers at me, which I courteously gave back.
He then began to swerve in front of my car giving gestures to pull over. Thinking what the hell??? I ignored him then he sped off.
After a 2 miles up the carriage way I noticed he has parked his bike and was stood in the middle of the carriageway offering me out in which I have to swerve my car to miss him.
Stupid but at the time I did not bother to take his licence plate.
Road rage is really not funny or something to feel big about. Please carry weapons on them and in the heat of the moment will use them.
I just hope this prick fall's of his bike next time.

From personal experience I have found that women are much less courteous and considerate on the roads than men - and are always ready to sound their horns to signal their annoyance and rebuke others, rather than use them for the purpose for which they are intended, i.e. to make other road users aware of your presence.

Well then. Cant go into too much detail but I was in Birmingham when a guy cut me up on a roundabout and i sounded my horn.
He didn't like this too much and stopped in front of me and got out of his jeep and headed my way. I reversed backwards and he got back in his car. I let him go ahead but he waited for me on a side road.

To cut a long story short it ended in a 100mph chase through Birmingham and him pulling a gun on me.

The police waived all my speeding camera tickets as he was a known gangster but nothing came of it.

I am lucky it wasn't a really bad outcome.

Some guy cut me up so I beeped my horn at him and he stopped his car really suddenly, came over to my car and started shouting abuse at me. My sister was with me and she's well mouthy so started shouting back. He was a nutcase!
