We have a great big poker game on Christmas Eve! I guess we're a bunch of sods but my Mom insists on it. On Christmas Day my sister roasts the turkey and the stuffing comes out of it looking like the Haggis from Hell. I always fix my other sister's plate and I pile that horrible stuff onto her plate so she has to eat a huge share of it. Also we eat Japanese food, because we are Japanese, and to honor our relatives, etc. Merry Christmas to You!!

to open our presents the night of the 24th, and then to wake to see what santa brought in the morning, then everyone shares in cooking a huge breakfast, then all go to other family get togethers for the rest of the day

during New Year's my family members and I each have 12 grapes. each grape representing each month in the year a total of 12 grapes.
so when it's midnight on new year's, we make a wish for what we want to happen in that month and we wish it on the grape, and then with the next one and the next one, so a total of 12 wishes, and the wishes that you want to happen during that certain month.
but we gobble the grapes real quick.
