As a kid, my parents always wrapped all the presents. They would write "from Santa" on the ones that were from Santa. This year since my boys are 2, I am wrapping presents from Santa in "special" Santa paper (has Santa on it). Next year I will probably buy 2 huge rolls from Costco to insure that the paper is the same for a couple years.

My parents did it both ways, some of the gifts, like the bigger ones and the ones that went into the stocking were unwrapped and the smaller ones that went under the tree were wrapped.

We always had a couple of gift from Santa, so the cool one: Bike, train set, dollhouse (my sister not me :) ) etc were setup and the rest were wrapped. My in laws Santa only filled the stockings (so unwrapped). Gifts were all from parents and relatives.(ergo they were wrapped)

Well, when I was a kid we had one present set out and put together and the stockings were filled and awaiting for us. And Now that I have my own kids my husband and I decided to follow that, however Santa only brings 1 gift which is set out ready to by played with and the stockings are hung empty the night before which magically are filled overnight. We have made sure that our little ones know that Santa only brings one gift so that way they true understand that Xmas is not about getting that its more about giving to others. one other thing we tried doing was the hang ornaments that open for storage so Santa can put something inside it for the little one.

Mine were always unwrapped and laid out on the coffee table next to the tree. I always bought into it well since Santa needs to see the gifts as he is giving them out so the right kid gets the right gift. I still remember all the little notes I used to write to Santa. My mom has one of them still.....I wrote Santa and asked how rudolph was doing, and asking him to make sure the reindeer got extra feed when they got home?

when i was younger there were always some wrapped (for the fun of wrapping) and then other, bigger things such as a snow sled would be unwrapped for show and too hard to wrap, things are more fun to unwrap!!!

My partner insists that we each had one present under the tree that wasn't wrapped "because Santa doesn't have time to wrap," but I don't remember 1 gift that wasn't wrapped.

Ours were always wrapped. That was always part of the fun. Exception was bicycles. my dad always had them assembled.
My parents also did not decorate the tree. (Santa did while we slept Christmas eve.) It was always magical to wake up Christmans morning and see the tree Santa decorated.
