I had read somewhere that you could borrow a friends iPod and hook it up to your computer and basically "share" all of their songs.

Must be some kind of software solution, but I'd like to know where to start.

Thanks!

They have a program at target that lets you copy all the music on your ipod and you can put on someone else's ipod.It has to be done through a computer. I figured out a way to do it with this program but you cant do it with songs you bought from itunes. First you must have the songs on itunes and not on your ipod.(it can be on your ipod but in order to transfer you must have the song saved into itunes so you can access it without connecting your ipod)Next you pick the song you want, click, hold, and drag it to your desktop outside of itunes to make it a file.(it should say mp4 and have an itunes logo on it or something like that. After you you did that with all the songs you want to transfer the drag each of the song files to your ipod logo that is on your desktop(not in itunes). It should say copying to ipod or something. Once it is done then you can eject your ipod and plug it in another computer. When your ipod icon appears on the desktop, click to open it and drag the song files out to your desktop. Next, drag each song file to itunes and then it should say copying to itunes. Now you can put on another ipod and it will be on your ipod too. Note: When you drag your song files into the desktop ipod icon, you cant listen to them on your ipod. You must take them out and put them on your ipod through itunes to listen to them. Good Luck. I hope this helps.

If you enable disk use on the iPod options, and put the actual song files on the disk, you can transfer the files. But don't just sync with iTunes, it doesn't work.
