It depends on the age of the car, and the type of car even really.
Then you need to ask yourself:
How much do you want to spend?
What do you want the car for?
How long are you thinking of keeping it?
What is your own estimated annual mileage?
How old a car are you looking for?

28-32 mpg is good gas mileage. 80- 90,000 is a decent amount for mileage

you would have to factor in engine type ( gas or diesel) , age of the car, type of the car, and definitely how it was taken care of, not just maintenance but how it was driven. for example the pizza driver verse your moms driving habits. 20,000 pizza miles is like 100,000 good ol mom driving.

depends on the car.. If you had a gm or ford product around 200,000 would be excessive miles but if you had a say Toyota or other import it wouldn't be rare to see one with over 300,000 miles on it but one factor would be is how well the maintence was done on the vehicle from its previous owners.

15,000 to 18,000 miles a year is average for a car nowdays so if the car is 3 yrs old normal miles shouldn't be over 54,000.

300,000 or so. my gmc sonoma, USA made has 326,000 miles on orginal engine, still runs like a champ. doesnt burn oil or smoke. and still gets 20 to 21 mpg. i think that is good miles both ways, on it.
