I posted the question on what you guys thought about Vick, and from the first few responses, it seems that you guys think Vick will be better than Warren Moon.
Here's a stat: Vick averages 2520 rushing and passing per season. Moon averaged 3082 passing over a 16 year career. Vick needs to step up his game and be more consistant. Still think he's better?

No way he will ever be better than Warren Moon!! Vick is probably a better athlete, but Moon was a smarter player and a heck of a passer. Atlanta is stuck with a QB who can put up a good show but is not consistent. I dont see him developing into a better passer. Moon is in the Hall of Fame, Vick isnt half as good.

Vick is mainly good because of his speed. If he was a few inches shorter he could qualify for a runningback. He can have good passing games but usually that is when they play the Lions or another bad team. His favoritw reciever is Alge Crumbler and every team knows that. Warren Moon was better not only did he have more rushing yards. Also Warren could throw a deep bomb for distance. Distance in the air is what Vick lacks. Vick will get better over his time but as of know all of the defenses in the NFL know what Michael Vick is doing.

I think Atlanta would be better suited playing Vick in RB/WR/Fly. Having Vick's speed and ability to throw on the field with Schaub starting QB, could be deadly w/ the ability to option Vick and motion one of the fastest players the league has ever seen. That's my opinion on Vick. As far as Warren Moon status I don't think so but time will tell.

Vick will never be the QB superstar that many still seem to think he could become. The guy is a great athlete and a slightly better than average QB on his best days. I have said all along Atlanta would be much better off letting Schwab be the QB and making Vick a RB/WR/KR/PR.

I think Moon is better just cuz he was better... Vick is a good all around QB but when he is needed he cant do that great... and Moon was consistent all THE TIME!!!! Moon would own Vick in any Stats match...

heres my philosophy:
michael vick is the best athlete in the nfl...but the worst quarterback. the only one who is possibley worst is aaron brooks(vicks cousin!)
ill agree that it doesnt help that his recievers drop the ball all the time...but he's not a west coast quarterback. even though that offense requires a mobile qb...it doesnt need one who would rather run than throw, nor have any trust in his recievers. i loved the idea of putting matt shaub(?) in and vick in the backfield..its just a shame that michael too stuborn to relize that he's much better off in that position.
back to the question...warren moon is a hall of fame qb because he also completed passes....2nd all time in yards, 3rd maybe im not sure. if you look at vick...he's always about even in td to int. ratio and completes less than half his passes. thats not an nfl qb. the next warren moon...if anyone...has to be vince young...a taller, stronger, and more accurate michael vick.

NO I don't think he's better than Moon. But Vick has the most rushing yards for a QB. Statistically talking Moon is the better QB.

I think that Michael Vick is one of the best QB's in the league.
BUT, his main problem is his Off. Line SUCKS!
If he gets a better Off. Line, he would do much better and avoid as much pressure as he does now, which makes him throw some stupid passes.
So Yea I'm going with Vick

he is more talented and this is his 6 year i think he will surpass that in 5 years he did a lot for the falcons he led them 12-4 they haven't done that since the 80's he also made the falcons a way better team they sucked in the 90's to 01 then Vick started in 02 now this teams went from being like the modern raiders to competitors every year besides last year and possible this year

Vick is a wonderful athlete and an adequate quarterback. He will continue to be a threat running the ball and that will help with any success he has throwing, but he will never be known as a great quarterback.
Pure athlete though........He may be the best.
