i'm not sure why you posted this under pregnancy, but it means if a password is "AbCd", you need to type it with the upper and lower cases. if it is not case sensitive, you can just type it "abcd"

It's funny that everybody's answers are about passwords and computers.
Case sensitive could also mean "according to the circumstances of this particular case."
So, for example, instead of generalizing about a whole group of, say, troubled youth, you could say that these kids are in need of education, case sensitive. In other words, in need of education, but to varying degrees depending on each kid.

It means that it is specific to upper case or lower case letters. For example, for a search - if you make it case sensitive, and you put in a capital first letter, the same word with a lower case first letter will not show up.
Webopedia defines it this way:
" (adj.) Describes a program's ability to distinguish between uppercase (capital) and lowercase (small) letters.
A case-sensitive program that expects you to enter all commands in uppercase will not respond correctly if you enter one or more characters in lowercase. It will treat the command RUN differently from run. Programs that do not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase are said to be case-insensitive. "

Case sensative has to to with whether or not the letter is capitolized or not. If a password is case sensative, for example, any letter that is not capitolized but was when you created the password withh mark the password as wrong.

You usually hear this pertaining to your passwords. Case refers to upper or lower for example if you type your password like this- Password, then you must type it the same way again with the P in upper case.
Hope this helps ,

It means that it is sensitive to upper and lower cases. So it will detect "HELLO" vs. "hello" differently. Bottom line is, be careful if you're using upper or lower cases when you type.
