okay so i got this plant but i dont know what type care it needs.....its a small to medium house plant with long thin leaves, in the shape of aloe leaves but very thin and stand straight up with thin strips of red that outline each leaf.
if anyone knows what this is or even i you have a guess an answer would be great....

It sounds like either a dracaena marginata, commonly called Dragon Tree or a bromeliad of some kind. Either one needs bright light, the bromeliad more, and the marginata will need more water. Here are links to pictures:http://hflp.sdstate.edu/ho311/Indoor_images/Dracaena-marginata-tricolor.

Go to a local green house or supermarket or any place they sell house plants and look and see if you can find the same one. Find out the name and go home and look it up on the Internet. Or bring it to a florist and ask them if they know what it is.
