Yes I often get the holiday blues. I try to help others who are less fortunate. Serve food at the shelter or buy toys for toys for tots. Stuff like that and it helps to realize how lucky I really am.

This year I did have the holiday blues. I seem to have gotten over them now that my shopping is done. I dont' know why I was so down this year and actually dragged my feet on shopping. I put it off till about last week. Than I went to town and got most everything I wanted to get for my family. Now I feel much better.

I'm glad you feel better after having a good cry. Sometimes that helps.

I have the blues but the holidays approaching are cheering me up. I look forward to seeing my son's face as he opens every gift. So the holidays are actually cheering me up from other problems this time :)
Sorry to hear that you're not doing well. Just remember it will be over soon. Then you're going to have a WHOLE year until you have to deal with it again, and maybe by then, you will be happy about the holidays :)

it truly is unusual. I hear all about wintry climate melancholy. as a lot as I dislike chilly, I felt rather large after the first snow. So bright and helpful! in spite of the undeniable fact that that is undemanding for me to assert that being interior at evening...

I'm way outta my territory here, but I believe that West-Indian/Rastafarian people have a theory of the Blues - you just gotta live through them, so you can appreciate the good times so much more.

(I'm sure someone will correct me if that's a dreadful misinterpretation)
