i have the new version and cant write to a dvd disc how can i do this with out buying softwear!

There's bound to be free software available that's better than windows movie maker, which is utter crap. Or you could try downloading something via bittorrent.

Dont you just look under "Finish Movie" and click on "Save to DVD"?
But then, I've never tried it. I mean I've used it, to make some clips of pictures and stuff. But I save it as a video clip and then use a DVD burning software from Sonic that came with my PC (Dell).
It's really not all that bad. I agree that iMovie in Apple is better but Windows Movie Maker is not all that horrible.
I dont know how to get other software for free, though. But you could get good ones if you're willing to use $20. Sorry! Wish I knew more! :)
