Tea Tree Oil will stop the pain and speed healing. Best to wrap with a band aid or piece of tape to keep from tearing further.

Get you a bottle of New Skin to put on until the new skin grows back. It will burn a little when you put it on, but it will keep the bacteria out and prevent an infection. You can buy it at most drugstores.

Make sure there's no infection and then get some Calendula cream. It's a homeopathic ointment that knits tissue incredibly fast. You can also get "finger cots" from your chemist/pharmacy like little condoms. Wear one in the day time, at night a cotton glove.

Soap and water for cleanliness are always best. Keep it covered for about 24 hours.....if pain, redness, etc. still persist go to the doctor....that's the most common abrasion that gets a Staff infection.

This could sting a bit, but you could put a drop of super-glue on it and once it dries, it should be fine for a while.
My husband puts super-glue on his cracked fingertips, and it works really well.
