her parents said they'd pay for the surgery.
now my opinion is noses with bumps and bigger ones give character n can be hot. shes gorgeous.
but under these circumstances, as horrible as she feels would any plastic surgeon perform surgery on a 14 yr old if they were really mature?

I think it would really depend on the surgeon and of course the parents would need to consent to the surgery also. But, this could just be her going through what every teenager goes through with not being happy and feeling uncomfortable in her own skin. If she holds off a few years she may find she loves herself just the way she is.

BDD?? dont know what that is but most plastic surgeons wouldn't perform that kind of surgery on a 14 yr old without parental consent well...they can't...but it's not the nose that's the problem its the owner she needs to get comfortable in her own skin alot of the timse plastic surgery is an easy fix but it's not going to make her feel any better if she's no confident in her self she'll just continue finding flaws and continue having plastic surgery...that's where all these people come out looking like what they are...PLASTIC!! If she's mature like you say then tell her that she's young, hasn't even had time to find herself yet, take a step back and learn to love herself and then....after she's genuinely satisfied with herself if she still can't stand her nose at the age of 18 if she's got the money tell her to go for it...

BDD is body dismorfic disorder, correct?
I think no good surgeon will perform any surgery unless life-threatening, until the patient is 16, no matter how mentally or physically mature she is. In the meantime, compliment her to make her feel better, or wearing your hair down draws attention away from the face- maybe have her concentrate on another feauture, like her eyes. Maybe meanwhile have her parents look for a surgeon so she can get a surgery for her 16th birthday, and she can have a goal to look foreward to. Good Luck

What's BDD. But the rest of the question I understand.. I'd say her parent's are insane!!! That's not right!!! I think you should tell her that she needs to wait until she's older.. And personally I don't believe in plastic surgery, okay some people are born ugly but keep your body in shape and that'll make you beautiful and if you take care of your body you can still always look beautiful. If you say she's gorgeous than why does she need plastic surgery?

=)
