Why is this important to understand? Basically a statement that summarizes the whole big picture of it relating production of proteins to enzyme synthesis

i don't think your question is really correct. Enzyme synthesis is part of 'the process which genes control the production of proteins'. I would call that protein synthesis. Genes determine the configuration and types of proteins synthesized. This is important because many of our metabolic or physiological processes require the presence of proteins such as hormones and enzymes and antibodies.

the main part of the cell is the nucleus which controls everything. Around the nucleus are the organelles which are in a jellylike substance called the cytoplasm. There are many organelles such as the mitochondria, which supplys the cell with energy, the lysosome, which digests worn out organelles, the vacuole, which stores waste, and many other organelles. There are two main types of cells; eukaryotic and prokaryotic, these cells each have different characteristics , such as that prokaryotic cells lack a nucleur membrane and cell nucleus. Basically, the cell can be though of as being a human body, with many different functions and organs. Hope I helped!
