Difference in new A+ Cert Exams?

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the new comptia A+ exams? The A+ Essentials and A+ IT Technician. They look to be very similar and wondering if anyone can tell me the difference. I was going to take the older Hardware and OS Exams, but noticed they udated their test.

I'm going to be taking the updated tests but this will not be until the end of January. There's really no point in taking the older tests. In addition to the A+ tests make sure you get some field experience. I've interviewed too many people who had a paper A+ and MCSE (they just read the books) and man they really didn't know anything.
