i am 32 weeks, and getting them. i monitor how long they last, how often i get them, just to be sure that im not having the real thing just yet, parinoid i guess. But does this mean that i am going to go a little early. Not derastically early, but like a few days to weeks. i know from others that they got them and went early. i'm scared to have her early considering i want her to be healthy.

I started getting braxton hicks contractions at 26wks and i got them till about 35wks. I never went into actual labour at any time. Im now 39wks pregnant and havent had any contractions in about 3-4wks at all.

The way you can tell the difference between braxton hicks and actual labour are these symptoms:

* Do the contractions come on a regular interval?
* And do they persist even if you are standing and walking around? (braxton hicks will usually stop if you change a position).
* If your waters break or u get a bloody mucus discharge accompanied with the contractions call a doctor ASAP. You may be going into labour.

If your worried and want some more information ask your ob/gyn for advice. Im sure they would be more than willing to give you any more symptoms.

No that doesnt mean you will have her early. I always have Braxton Hicks Contractions starting at 20 weeks. I have 3 boys and a girl on the way and Im 26 week right now and have been having them since 18 weeks with her. The doctor says it is normal to start feeling them around 20 weeks. As long as you are having 5 to 6 a day spread out. Now I did have my 3rd son early at 34 weeks, but not because of that. And just to let you know he was Extremely healthy and didnt need any special attention and went home with me 2 days later. Im just telling you that, to make you feel better about just in case you were to have her early. Good Luck:)

I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions for over a month now. It's just a normal part of pregnancy according to my OBGYN. It's just getting your uterus ready for action. I doubt that it means u will go early since I have been having them for over a month and my due date is 12/23 and so far I am only dialated 1cm and havent been having major contractions yet. Everyone is different though, but Braxton Hicks are just normal.

This is all normal, your body is just getting ready for the big day. If you have them constantly for an hour abot 5minutes apart or so, then I would call the doctor.

no, i don't think you will deliver early. if you did go into early labor, unless your water breaks they would mostlikely stop it until you were considered full term 37 weeks

it's really impossible to tell when you'll deliver at this point, and worrying is totally normal. Just keep getting your prenatal care.
