sounds expensive. I'm guessing he needs land in order to live, which means he probably needs a big aquarium with a lid, which means, he's probably too much trouble and money for me to get as a playmate for my beta fish :-/

by the way, I'm just asking this here because what's his face doesn't allow IM or email... poopy head.

I have one in my aquarium with my fish and shrimp. This is the first one I have managed to keep alive longer than a month. Some of the things I have learned about them, is they do not like currents, so I have to keep my water aeration low. They prefer to be in groups and for the health of your fish it would be better to have them in a tank of their own, as the fish love to eat the blood worms that are meant for the frog. I have cut back on the feedings to twice a week. so far no problems. They don't need land. when they need air they just swim up to the surface and then quickly head back down. They are simple to care for and not expensive at all. You just have to be okay with what you will feed them... Blood worms. They don't care too much for the freeze dried ones.

They are actually very easy. They are sold at most pet stores (at least my local petco's) and cost about 5 dollars. A lid is good but he can be kept in a regular aquarium filled with water with most fish.
