OK, so I've found many reliable PS3 auctioneers for very cheep prices. I just need some tips on how to snipe at the last minute how to win most bids.

Just place a bid in the highest amount you are willing to go. Ebay will keep bidding for you until you reach that point. If you are still willing to go higher you just have to sit at the computer the last few minutes of the auction.
I also have a PS3 no waiting in line here. Went to Best Buy last week and they had some in stock.

Bid at the last 10 seconds, that's how I did it.

just wait untill there is only about 5 min to 1 min left to bid then bid i do it when ever i buy it works all the time

I own a Playstation 3. So no worry for me. :) (25 hours in line to pre-order, It was a pain, but it was worth it!)
