I need to write a poem about winter. If anyone has any ideas on how to start or maybe a line I could possibly use just to get me started, it would really be helpful. Or a way I could describe winter with imagery. Thanks so much.. any help would be appreciated!!

I suggest you decide what kind of poem you want to write first. If it's a haiku, which is what I'd suggest because traditionally haikus are supposed to be about something not man made (and the only manmade winters are NUCLEAR winters), or perhaps you were meaning to rhyme? I don't know what your winters are like, but here in hawaii it just...rains.

"rain drops hit the ground"

Lol

The feel of white stuck to me like a penquin to a shark's mouth.

You can take it from there... let me know how it turns out.
