England is a country, Great Brittan refers to Whales, England and Scotland (all three are represented on the Union Jack Great Brittan's flag) The red cross in the middle is the English flag (Red cross on a white background) the Scottish flag (a white X with a blue background) and the Welsh flag (red X on a white background) The United Kingdom refers to all of the above as well as British occupied Ireland and all other colonies under British rule.

I believe England is just a description of the actually island, while Great Britain means the island but also Northern Ireland( and Whales) . The United Kingdom means the whole kit and caboodle from when they were an Imperlist power( India, Hong Kong, America,etc..) Scotland too. Scotland is still part of the UK. The part about Ireland is what interested me as there is a huge difference between N Ireland and the rest, as applies to politics, and mainly, religion. Much of the populace of N Ireland is protestant and pro-British rule. Most of the rest of the country is decidely not. The rest of Ireland is mainly fiercely catholic and wants Britain out of Ireland entirely

Great Britain consists of England, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom also includes Northern Ireland, Bermuda, Gibraltar, Montserrat, St. Helena and others. The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are a federacy with the U.K. forming the British Isles. Think of it this way, England is a country on the main island Great Britain, which along with everything else form the U.K.

Great Britain is the largest island in the British Isles. It is divided into three countries: Scotland in the north, Wales in the west, and England in the south and central parts.

The United Kingdom is a nation that includes all of Great Britain, including England, Wales, and Scotland, plus other parts of the British Isles, notably Northern Ireland. The UK also includes the Isle of Man, the Shetlands, Orkneys, and Channel Islands.

When the present Union flag was incorporated in 1801it was to unify the flags of England,Ireland and Scotland.Wales was consdered an integral part of England
The english flag was a red plus sign on a white background. The irish flag was a red cross on a white background, the scottish flag was a white cross on a blue background
These four countries England,Nth Ireland,Scotland and Wales are the United Kingdom. All the countries have thier own local govt Except England Only the westminster govt can make laws applicable to all.
Technically they are all british. The four countries, have no recognition outside the UK.
So Nth Ireland,Wales,England and Scotland are the same place the UK

The British Isles are produced from the international places of eire, Northern eire, Wales, Scotland, and England. the united kingdom's complete call is the united kingdom of great Britain and northerly eire, so that is composed of Northern eire, Wales, Scotland, and England. great Britain is just one Island the place Wales, Scotland, and England are. England is only the biggest usa in great Britain, with Wales to the West and Scotland to the North. so as you pass from British Isles to uk to great Britain to England you're decreasing the type of international places from 5 to 4 to 3 to a million.
