Well, if you want to actually go into the field of psychology, you are correct--you will definitely need a graduate degree, either a master's or a doctorate. While possible, positions in the field of psychology are very few for people with only bachelor's.

**Nitpick: Anyone who does not have a doctorate is not technically a "psychologist." You must have a PhD to lay claim to that term.

If you get your PhD, in all honesty, you will be ensured a job somewhere. With your master's, it may be a little less uncertain, but if you have made it that far then your passion towards the field is likely to help you out.

There's many different positions available in the field of psychology. There's the classical clinical and counseling practice work, there is researching and teaching as a professor, and, more uncommonly, there are people working out in the field (such as Industrial/Organizational psychologists).

Talk to your psyc professors and visit your campus career center to get more info on different positions and specific statistics.
