My girlfriend has been on the pill for a week and we got close to having unprotected sex on the 7th day she was on the pill. There might have been some penetration (if hardly any. Most likely not) and I did not ejaculate. Is there still a large risk? We honestly can't figure it out.

I'm going with the other ones here. There is minimal risk in this case. Although it's not completely risk free either. Precum can contain sperm, and 7 days isn't enough for birthcontrol to be completely effective. Your best bet is to keep a condom in your back pocket until she's been on the pill for a month.

There is a small risk that she may be pregnant, but very small. There is always a risk when there is penetration because the precum can have sperm in it. Her pill would not have been entirely protecting her either at that early stage. Please keep in mind that even the pill does not have a 100% success rate, so use another form of contraception as well (such as a condom). I cant really understand what you mean by there 'might have been some penetration' and 'most likely not'. Really, you should know if there was any penetration. It seems a bit strange, and indicates to me that there was no penetration, so you should be safe from pregnancy. Any sexual contact though that you might have had is not safe from STD's, so please protect both yourself and your girlfriend in future.

If you penetrated at all there is risk. Even if you came around the vagina there is a very very slim chance she can get pregnant. With that said ejaculation or not you can get a girl pregnant. Most likely you did not get her pregnant. But use protection next time. Be safe when having sex. Also, if she misses on one day there is a chance. Have her go to the doctor and find out the possibilities for sure.

There's still a risk, but it's small. I've heard it takes a while (not a long while... ) for the pill to kick in.

But, even if you don't ejaculate, there's still pre-*** that you should worry about.

I wouldn't freak. There's no huge risk.

In fact... there's like a 1/100 chance that she'll get pregnant.
Consider it.

No there is not a big chance, but I will tell you that the pill is not in effect yet and you do have pre *** that you can not control!! I would not worry just make sure she is on the pill for 1 month at least and you use a condom till then!!

I wouldn't really worry about it, my girlfriend is on the pill too. and we still use condoms except for our first time and we took it off halfway threw honestly if you didn't penetrate I wouldn't worry, but umm from the lil exsperiance that I've had its kinda noticable when there is penetration or not.

As long as she continued her course for the full 3 weeks, there's nothing to worry about except STD's. So enjoy your wild monkey love.

don't have sex. it's that simple. pill + condom= safer odds of no baby. each one of you needs to protect themselves. there are also AIDS, HIV, and STDs to worry about. have you each had a blood test for STDs? if not, don't have sex without a condom.
pre-ejaculate contains sperm.
