does anyone no if it is normal for a 15yr old to have a lump/knot in her breast, she was taking a shower and noticed it. should we be worried about breast cancer at 15? please anyone that has any info please let me know. Thanks concerned mom.

Changing hormones can cause many changes in breast tissue. To be sure ask the doc. Bringing the importance of this matter to your daughters attention can have a lifetime effect on her. It will teach her to be watchful of her health, no matter what. She should learn to value her health and well being like she will learn to value money.

Look, the statistics for breast cancer is unbelievable these days. Someone as young as 15 could surely develop breast cancer. My advice: take her in NOW. God forbid it is cancer, @ least you and the doctors detected it early and can do something about it. If not, it is still good to practice those habits. Just take her in to get checked please.

No, it's not normal at all for any woman at any age. Bring her to a gyn asap. It's probably just a cyst of some sort, but it should be checked out to be sure. It's highly unlikely its cancer at this young of an age.

I don't mean to scare you but I honestly don't think it's normal. They say if a women has a weird lump in her breast, she should get it checked out immediately. I would take her to the ER.

take her to a local clinic to get checked out. Ask for a cat skan.

it is possible, though rare, for teenagers to get breast cancer. if this lump is new, then she should be checked out ASAP!

ok i had a friend and the same thing was happenin to her in 6TH grade and we found out it was a sist and she had to go get it drained out or somethin like that go to the docter
