Don't do it with an open flame!!!!!

Ah, okay. For acetone to evaporate, it needs to be exposed to oxygen, or just plain old air. High humidity(lots of water vapor in the air), or extreme cold will slow down the evaporation of acetone, but will not stop it to my experience.
