Why is Plan B always better?

in every movie, book, etc plan b seems to be the solution. 0.o

Because if the characters would succeed immediately after the first try, the movie would be pretty short and boring.

Plus, movies who present people succeeding after several tries want to spread the message that work leads to success and nothing is achieved easily. Plus, the repetitive attempts are meant to be the focal point of the plot.

Only movies who have the purpose of presenting superheros and showing that those superheros know what they're doing show them succeeding immediately.

Because movies are written in Hollywood; Hollywood is in the United States; most people in the United States would prefer to believe that you are always given a second chance if you fail the first time!

Because plan B is usually the underdogs plan, and the movie wants to show the Plan A person as not as smart as they think they are.

it particularly is often plan B for me,'cos when you have performed plan A there are some issues in plan B that would desire to have been in plan A. purely significant factors to the full project.
